 What is your TEDxMaastricht job?

I believe great changes are ahead of us in healthcare. I founded TEDxMaastricht to inspire all of us working in healthcare or using healthcare services to take a fresh perspective, the one of the patient, the family and the informal care.  In our Academic Hospital we work on no longer putting patiens central, but embracing them into our team.

I am a health 2.0 ambassador, speaker, author and director of the Radboud REshape & Innovation Center at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center, the Netherlands.

At TEDxMaastricht I founded and curate the event , found Jim crazy enough to work with me, and with our great team we hope we can give you “one giant pill of inspiration” to start chancing healthcare as of tomorrow.

What would you talk about in your three-minute-talk at TEDxMaastricht? I would talk about how Participatory Healthcare is the biggest change in healthcare even in over 2500 years; see my two TEDx talks below

1. Crowdsource your health  on TED.com

2. Patients Included Act.

What is your favorite TED talk?
Which one isn’t ? ;-)
My top TED-talk would be Rabbi Soetendorp. The reason why : I wrote down just over a year before the actual date of TEDxMaastricht, that very Sunday morning, March 14th 2010 I decided to definitly go for a healthcare focussed TEDx, within a year. Unfortunately it would become a fortnight later ;-) . Read my blogpost Golden Rule for some background and history.
