Tim Hurson

Throughout his career, Tim has helped Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 organizations create breakthrough innovation. He is a sought-after international speaker, having addressed audiences in 40 countries on six continents. He speaks regularly on using the principles of productive thinking to manage change rather than be swamped by it. He shows how organizations can foster creative working environments, stable enough to provide continuity and flexible enough to adjust to rapid changes in technologies, markets, and mandates.

Tim was creative director and founding partner of Manifest Communications, one of Canada’s foremost communication and branding agencies. After leaving Manifest to concentrate on writing, speaking, and helping global organizations leverage their intellectual assets, he founded ThinkX Intellectual Capital. ThinkX consultants train, facilitate and coach leaders in the US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, UK, France, Italy, Australia, Korea, and Singapore. Tim is also a founding director of Facilitators Without Borders, a not-for-profit offering similar services to communities in need.

Now in its fifth English-language printing and translated into eight languages, Tim’s 2008 book, Think Better: An Innovator’s Guide to Productive Thinking (McGraw Hill, NY), is used as a text by over 50 Business and MBA programs around the world. He is currently working on two new books for McGraw Hill, The Shock of the Possible and There is No Box and will be speaking on TEDxMaastricht about The Schock of the Possible.
